Part of being able to maintain the sales numbers that you want for your business is the ability to notice new trends and embrace emerging technology. Because of that, we thought we’d make some predictions for 2019.

 

These are trends that have already begun to gain traction, but we’re betting you’ll see a lot more of them when the New Year rolls around.

 

Micro Influencers

 

In 2018, more Orange County companies saw the light and started using influencers to draw attention to their services and products via social media.

 

That’s likely to continue next year, but the focus may shift toward “micro influencers,” social media users with a highly specified following within a particular niche.

 

In other words, brands will start reaching out to a broader range of influencers rather than focusing on those with enormous followings. It’s more cost-effective, as these mega-influencers often demand a high price.

 

Social Activism

 

Politics and social activism can be divisive topics, and many SEO companies try and steer the businesses they’re representing away from that sort of potential firestorm.

 

However, it is undeniable that if your brand has specific values that you’re trying to bring to the forefront of your social media conversations, taking a stand on some issues can lead to the sales results that you want.

 

It’s all about tapping into a passionate fan base, Orange County. If you make a strong declaration of your values by commenting on topics that are in the news, you can galvanize the segment of the population that you feel is most likely to buy your products. By doing so, you have a good chance at brand loyalty.

 

Social Media and the Buying Cycle

 

If you examine every aspect of the buying cycle, some portions of it seem tailor-made for social media, like advertising and starting conversations about products. Up till this point, though, the idea has mostly been to steer customers to a business’s website, where the sale will take place.

 

That has begun to change, and we should see an increase in buying directly through social media in 2019.

 

For example, Facebook has a feature where you can set up a version of your shop and people can make purchases there without ever having to visit your website. There are many other examples as well. Soon, people will buy through social media as much as they chat with their friends.

 

2019 looks to be a thrilling year for social media developments. Orange County businesses should be ready to go along for the ride, because these changes have already begun, and as always with advertising and sales trends, you can’t afford to get left behind.

Make sure that they read the terms of use carefully before making your account official if they haven’t set one up before. Ideally, though, you should be using an Orange County social media company that already has extensive experience with Pinterest and other platforms.  

 

Completing the Profile

 

That’s the bare bones of what your agency needs to do, but they’ll still need to flesh out your account so that it is uniquely your own. They’ll need to complete the “about you” section, add your business location, then save your settings.
